When McCurdy landed the role of Sam on iCarly, she suffered from anorexia, which then progressed to binge eating and later bulimia.

And so it was only after Debbie’s death that she rebelled, had sex and experimented with alcohol for the first time. And I’m not going to lie. It was very difficult to get here. But now, I’m in a place in my life that I never would have thought possible.
